Please Identify

I spoke at a young adult conference called Please Identify in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania this weekend. I was so impressed with their intensity. Our first session went till about 11:30 PM on Friday night and people were at the altar praying through.
One of my fears as a communicator is that I'd say lots of stuff that people would forget. I'd rather say one thing that gets lodged into someone's spirit than have lots of "good points." I want to communicate in ways that get past the sensory memory and short-term memory and into the long-term memory. I want to say things and tell stories and ask questions that people remember the rest of their lives! It's the stickiness factor. By the way, Jesus was the master. He knew how to communicate in ways that people would never forget.
I'm a homebody so I'm sort of tired from the traveling and speaking this weekend, but it's also energizing being around twenty-somethings. It is so central to my passion. I feel like the third decade is so mission-critical. They will manage the decisions they make during their twenties for the rest of their lives. I hope I made a small difference.
