I was so impacted today by something that happened that I didn't even know about. Let me explain. An NCCer emailed me and told me he was awakened at four o'clock in the morning and felt a leading to pray for me and my family. He was so compelled that he was shaking. He got his housemates up and they actually drove over to our house and prayed over our house! Here's the thing. I was out of town and I just wonder if the Lord used them to protect my family in some way. One way or the other, I was so thrilled that NCCers are willing to be obedient to the "crazy promptings" of the Holy Spirit. I can't even put into words how much that meant to me!

I believe that faith is the willingness to look foolish. Going over to someone's house to pray for them at 4 AM seems crazy, but thank God for a little craziness.

Here's another observation. This NCCer said this had never happened to them before. I think faith enables us to do things that are unprecedented. Without faith we're trapped in the world of "been there and done that." But faith is our escape into a life of adventure. Sometimes it involves a loss of sleep. But the purpose of life isn't to arrive at death well rested.

By the way, I think one of the most exciting dimensions of heaven will be to see how God answered our prayers in ways that we didn't know about on earth! What a revelation that will be!
