cement blocks
I don't want to bore anyone with my blogs, but I could blog everyday on Ebenezers. I look out my office window and I'm literally five feet from this dream becoming reality. It's so cool to be so close to a dream. Yesterday I could see out my window and across the street. Today I see a wall of cement blocks. If it weren't the wall to our coffeehouse I'd be upset about losing my view. But, as irony would have it, my loss of physical vision is the fulfillment of a spiritual vision of building a coffeehouse on Capitol Hill. One thing strikes me today. It tooks years of praying. It took years of designing. It tooks months to lay the foundation. But now that we've done the praying and designing and laying of the foundation, the building is changing every day! They put an eight-foot cinder block wall up in one day today! I think that is how it is with dreams. There is so much that needs to happen in the invisible realm before they start to take shape in the physical realm. But the amazing progress we're seeing now is the result of years of praying and planning. And of course, it's all about putting one block on top of another. There are no shortcuts! By the way, I'll try to post a picture asap because a picture is worth a thousand words.
