Ethiopia: The Art of Reflection
In our devotional time today we read out of II Timothy 2:7: "Reflect on what I am saying for the Lord will give you insight into all of this." The reason we don't have insight is because we don't reflect. It's so simple yet the art of reflection is so neglected. We're called to reflect on life and reflect on the word. And when we do that we become insight-full people.
God has given Pastor Zeb amazing insight into the word. I continue to be amazed at the way God reveals deep thoughts out of passages I've read dozens of times and never noticed what he's noticed. I'm praying for greater insight. I don't want to see things that aren't there. The theological word for that is isogesis. But I want to dig deeper. Uncle Betta and Pastor Zeb can't say two sentences without saying something I want to write down and remember!
FYI: my blog is the way I reflect. It helps me capture my life and my thoughts.
