cow pasture

A few weeks ago I visited the cow pasture in Alexandria, Minnesota where I felt called to ministry in August of 1989. It's my Bethel or Damascus Road. That prayer walk changed the course of my life. My cousin-in-law, Dave Schmidgall, took some amazing pictures. There was a storm brewing that evening so the cloud contrast was pretty amazing. Here's one of the shots.
For what it's worth, I'm getting into original art and original clothing. In other words, I want what I wear on my back and what I hang on my wall to say something about who I am. So I asked Dave to take the pictures so I could turn them into framed pictures for my office. I want the cow pasture to be a daily reminder to be faithful to the original vision God gave me as a teenager.

That's a really cool picture!
Wow! Awesome photography! I love the idea of keeping reminders of our vision around us at all times.
I have a picture of a chair where my father was sitting in and with tears in his eyes said,"son don't live life with any regrets, do all that God has called you to do." Six months later I left a staff position at a great church I was at for over a decade. My wife and kids moved to the North Metro Atlanta area to plant a church. Before I left I snapped a photo of the chair. Thanks for helping me not feel so corney about doing that. There wasn't any cool clouds in my grandmother's kitchen though.
This is powerful photography in more than one way.
that's a nice cow pasture.
Hey Ross,
If only your dad had cried on top of Mt. Everest or something :) It'd make for a better picture. Maybe you can ask him next time to cry someplace that is really picturesque :)
Seriously...I'd inscribe those words on a picture or back of a picture. What an awesome lifesymbol!
That picture is emotional.
