different passions
Had a great ministry mentoring meeting this morning.
To make a long story short, I was reminded again of how awesome "the church" is. I started thinking about different people with different passions. I think about the people at NCC who are passionate about prayer and outreach and Alpha and worship and missions and hospitality and discipleship and creativity. I think we sometimes feel like everybody should be as passionate as we are about the things we're passionate about. But God designed the church as a body. I think it's about different people with different passions. And hopefully those different passions impassion us! Even if worship or outreach or hospitality aren't our primary passion, we need people with those passions to infect us.
All of that is to say this. I love the different passions represented at NCC. What a great diversity! It can be frustrated when other people aren't as passionate about our passions as we are. But that is the way God has designed the church.
