Ice Cream Evangelism

I was blog surfing today and came across a cool "right-brain idea" on Todd Rhoades blog.
Years ago I wanted to paint our 1985 Dodge Ram 15-passenger Van and retrofit it as a ice cream truck driving all over Washington, DC. We didn't do it because we were afraid of ice cream riots :) I'm half-serious.
But I just heard that our friends over at New Life Christian Church in Centerville, VA are doing ice cream outreach. I love it. I think churchmarketingsucks.com blogged on this recently as well.
Here's the truck. I love it when I can use the word ingenious to describe something some church is doing :) By the way, the truck cost $10,000. I'm sure the ice cream isn't cheap. But it's what I call "no after taste" evangelism. There is no bitter after taste when you show the love of Christ in practical and creative ways!
