What an amazing trip around the sun this past year. Thought I'd pause and share a few birthday reflections.
How do I describe this past year?
Galatians 5:25 says, "Let us keep in step with the Spirit." I feel like the Holy Spirit is taking full-length, full-speed strides right now and I feel like a little kid hanging on for dear life. What a wild ride this year!
I've experienced a dream convergence this past year. It just seems like so many dreams have aligned and become reality before my eyes. And it's causing me to dream bigger dreams :)
Our coffeehouse on Capitol Hill is about a month from completion! I self-published my first book this year and got a multi-book deal from Multnomah to write four more! I've been asked to write more magazine articles and been invited to speak at more conferences than the rest of my ministry combined. GodiPod.com wasn't even on my radar a year ago. Neither was the Buzz conference. Evotional Apparel is about to be unveiled. And Evo Media will become a reality in the next twelve months.
I attribute all of the above to one thing: the favor of God.
I pray for "favor" as much as I pray for anything. I think that is what I'm experiencing personally and we're experiencing corporately. I've always had a profound sense of destiny, but it's deeper and stronger than it's ever been. God seems to be opening doors of opportunity right and left!
Here are some of the things I'm wrestling with right now.
I want to be more proactive as a husband and father.
I want to enjoy the journey more :)
I need some more margins in my life.
I want to do ministry out of the overflow of my walk with God.
I want to do ministry out of imagination not memory!
I want to be more intentional about accumulating experiences.
I want to fix some of the spiritual leaks in my life.
I want to spend more time in prayer and the word.
That's my spiritual inventory.
Looking forward to my next trip around the sun!
