Live Nativity

We had our 2nd annual live nativity in Lincoln Park on Capitol Hill today. What an awesome event. We had a choir of angels. It was so good I thought they were lip syncing to a CD :) No kidding. They sounded incredible!
We had a stable with Mary and Joseph played very ably by Dairo and Christina :) We had hot chocolate. And, of course, no nativity scene would be complete with a llama :) Our NCC mascot :)
I still remember driving down 95 from Potomac Mills to DC and having this crazy idea--a live nativity. No one was doing anything like that on Capitol Hill and I thought it'd be a great reminder of what Christmas is all about. Voila! Pastor Joel, our staff, and a bunch of NCCers did an amazing job pulling off another incredible outreach to our community. We're showing the love of Christ in practical ways :)

ha haha...Not sure how "practical" a live nativity is but they are fun!
Especially a llama! Thanks for the pics!
Interesting llama fact:
The animals are often used to guard flocks from predators, such as coyotes. When I first heard this I thought "OK what do they do? Stomp them to death?"
What do you know, that's just about right. Llamas, it turns out, can be very ferocious.
Let's hear it for Tina!
Nice fact Amy. They are pretty mean, the Bible College I went to has a llama farm next door..didn't get too close to them. Course some kid did always have to try to go ride one.
Tina, come eat your dinner!
