First Game
We won a moral victory today in our first game.
Last year we were like a bunch of deer caught in the headlights (high beams). We lost the first half 7-2. But we won the second half 2-0.
I was stoked.
The adrenaline was pumping. The butterflies were flying. I was pacing the sidelines. And I lost my voice about the middle of the third quarter.
I didn't realize I would have this much fun coaching! One of my spiritual gifts is encouragement. Coaching is a great outlet. I love giving these 3rd and 4th graders high-fives.
I'm a little concerned about launching our Saturday Night Services next month. I'm not going to have much of a preaching voice after our Saturday Afternoon Games :)
I was really proud of our kids today!
Thanks for the prayers!

Congrats!
A certain Russell man will tell you you sound like his father-in-law!
Blessings!
I coach my son's fourth grade team--we lost 35-23, but won a moral victory by not losing by more.
