Sunday Reflections

About 75% of our congregation takes off over the holidays. That corresponds with the 75% single twenty-somethings who attend NCC. Most of them travel to spend the holidays with their families. So our attendance is always way down over holidays, but I really enjoyed our Christmas Eve and New Years Day gatherings.

I'm not sure I'd vote for New Years Day on Sunday :) Lots of sleep deprivation. In fact, I saw alot of our Union Station attenders at Ballston. That gave them an extra hour of sleep! One more advantage to multi-site :)

But what a great way to kick off a new year! I did my annual Live & Learn message on 01.01. It's my way of reminding us of the things God has been teaching us this past year.

Looking forward to kicking off our Y series next week. It's a "back to basics" series that will remind us of why we do what we do. We might add one topic, but we'll definitely hit Y Pray, Y Give, Y Serve, and Y Church.
