I never cease to be amazed at God's timing. I had a phone conference scheduled with Warren Bird who is going to spearhead a research study on churches meeting in theaters sponsored by Leadership Network. On the same day I got a "random" phone call from someone with the National Association of Theater Owners who wants to do a story on churches meeting in theaters! It turns out that it'll be the cover story.

God's timing is impeccable.

If your church meets in a theater and you'd be willing to be part of the research study, email Juliet@theaterchurch.com. I'm not 100% sure how many theater churches there are, but I'd love for the study to be a sampling of 100+ churches. If you know of any churches meeting in theaters, please pass along this link!

I think the study will help 1) churches that are currently meeting in theaters 2) church planters who want to launch in a theater and 3) multi-site churches that are looking for middle of the marketplace venues.

I'd also like to invite pastors of theater churches to our half-day forum for theater churches on May 4, 2006. I think it's the first forum of it's kind. It'll be a great way for theater churches to share best practices! Check out www.buzzconference.com.
