Believe it or not, we've got final inspections today!
Not sure if we'll pass. I have no idea what is "normal." I'm sort of assuming we'll have some "issues" since DC is such a tough jurisdiction to build anything. But we're on the home stretch.
We've had a contractor trailer sitting on our sidewalk for nearly 18 months now. They just moved it this morning. Here's a shot of the sidewalk.

You know Mark, I think your blog gets read more and commented less than any other blog in the 'sphere. A little comment love comin' your way from a high school pastor in Fayetteville, AR
Congrats! I can't wait until the grand opening!
What was the verdict on the final inspection?
The inspections went well. We've got an elevator inspection next week and then we're on to certificate of occupancy.
Pastor Mark, I was waiting for some jokes about Pastor Heather to pop up. Isn't that about the same area where Heather took her infamous trip into a huge hole?!?!?! :)
I'm hearing the crescendo of Handel's Messiah!! The fence is gone! yay!
Just make the elevator into that office you were wanting- surely THAT will pass inspection!
It's so exciting to see the church in the center of the marketplace... I've been watching from a distance (Las Vegas) the process... AMAZING!!!
