Let it Snow
I love snow. Except on Sundays!
For the record, we will NEVER cancel church :) I'm from Chicago. I just have this thing about not canceling church because of the weather. A little NCC trivia. The only Sunday we've ever canceled was actually our first Sunday! It was during the Blizzard of '96 that dumped two feet of snow. We couldn't have services because the DC public school where we were meeting was closed. And I still wanted to do an outdoor service :)
I can't imagine Union Station or Ballston Common Mall closing. As long as the station and the mall are open we're open.
Here's a before and after picture of our Ford Taurus taken at 6 PM last night and 6 AM this morning.

See, this is why I love the blog. Because when Im sitting here looking out my window on sunday morning wondering how the heck little old me is going to get her car out of that snow by herself (yes, ok, Im still a Californian. And I don't mean one from the Lake Tahoe area. Im from the BEACH) .. I can come on here and find out whether the brave shall conduct church or not.
It's like a live wire to the heart of the congregation.
I'm off to attempt to break my car free.
By the way, the snow? Reminds me of Narnia ....
i like yellow snow too :)
When I woke up yesterday, I was feeling pretty chilly. Your pictures suddenly reminded me...I Live in Florida. Yeah. It's cold here, but next week (or maybe the next week) it will be back up to the 80's and I can wear shorts again. And most importantly, I've never had to scrape ice off my windshield.
Last year, though, we did cancel 2 services do to hurricanes and 70 MPH gusts.
