Opening Day

It's opening day for Ebenezers.

I went down to pray with the staff before we opened our doors. I had such a mixture of emotions--primarily excitement and nervousness. I'm sure we'll have to work out the kinks, but that is why we're doing a soft opening. Our Grand Opening is slated for March 25-26.

Here we go :)

As someone who just moved down the street, let me say that I anticipate the opening of your coffee shop. A) Because it looks like a great little place an I love coffeee. B) So, I can walk to Union Station without having to walk through a construction zone.

Opens at 7 AM on weekdays. We'll keep it open till 9 PM so people on the Hill have a place to hang. We'll keep it open later on the weekends. We want to monitor traffic and then we might go a little later.

My "Black & White" was very good; the "Tea Cake" was tasty, too! The service was simply heavenly!

Just to say, if you're open, you should make that obvious to people walking by. I walked past the coffee shop and heard a couple of people remark, "Are they open? I thought they were opening today."

The construction makes it look like it's closed. A sign outside stating "Yes. We are Open" might be helpful.

PM - some of us Hill residents like to "hang" later than 9 - and I wonder if you have a built in rush post 9 when certain groups end for the evening and people look to mingle or have some conversation. I'll just pray that the traffic will prove worth it to be open until say 11... I know this is well past certain people's bed time but that is what coffee is for!

We aren't going to post our "Now Brewing" signs until next week :)

We want a "trickle business" for our soft open. We're not quite ready for the mad rush yet.

Grand Opening is March 25-26.

Pastor Mark, I grabbed a few friends and stopped by Ebenezers today. The place looks GREAT. My friend is an avid coffee drinker and she said the vanilla chi was great.

Congrats on an amazing place!
