T-Minus 36 Hours
Can't believe we're less than 36 hours from launching our fifth and sixth services in our third location. I've never preached four times on a weekend. That'll be an adjustment.
I have a mixture of emotions.
One one level it's sort of like climbing to the top of the high dive as a kid. You climb up there without really thinking about it. You walk out to the end of the plank. I mean diving board. Then you look down :) You only have two options. Turn around and climb back down the ladder. Or jump! We're at the end of the diving board. Not only do we launch Saturday Night service in less than 36 hours. We also launch a fully-operation coffeehouse in T-minus 72 hours.
I'm really trying to savor this launch. It's sort of like eating a Ruth's Chris Filet Mignon with extra butter sauce. I want to enjoy every moment. It took eight years of praying like it depends on God and working like it depends on us.
We still have a thousand things to do, but time is slowing down. I'm entering the ministry matrix :)

The "ministry matrix"... I like it!
If only we all were able to live in that zone all the time -- to pray as if it depends on God and work as if it depends on us.
Some of that Ruth's Chris stuff would be nice too!

At this point, we are trying to limit the coffeehouse service to ticket holders. It's always a tough to turn anyone away, but unfortunately the downstairs level can only hold a certain number of people (and I think we are going to be maxed out). :)
