Milestone
Last night Lora and I were talking about Josiah and swimming. We were wondering how and when he would make the transition from non-swimmer to swimmer.
So Lora calls me from the pool today and Josiah did it. I think the key was goggles :) He actually swam under the water! I was so excited I hopped in the car and drove out to the pool to see it for myself. Sure enough. My son has officially entered the world of swimmers!
One small stroke for Josiah. One giant dive for the Batterson family. Or something like that.

Hip Hip Hooray for Josiah!! He's officially a fish now.
it's great to see how he's overcome the fear of the water.
Our family has been swimming a LOT this summer mainly so that swimming lessons will be as productive as possible for all three kids later this month.
I enjoy seeing my kids in the water because it seems there is always a new risk to be taken whether it is blowing bubbles for the first time, going under for the first time, jumping in and touching the pool bottom for the first time, trying the water slide, etc. etc.
Lots of "first times" in the world of water.
