Giant Popcorn Box

My friend Doug Miller just launched Plum Creek Community Church in Castle Rock, Colorado. I love what they did with this flatbed truck :) A huge popcorn box and movie preview billboard.

If you're looking for innovative ideas, I think the vast majority come from church planters. No one stretches me or inspires me like church planters. What I'm trying to say is: church planters rock!

Mark, this is a fun idea. How did they use it? It looks like it could have been a road-side advertisement, a parade float, or even a portable stage. Do you know how they used it and with whom they were trying to connect?

I think it was an uber-street sign (to use our digital pastor, David Russell's favorite word uber).

Talk about generating some excitment on the way to church!

Life size billboard.

Hey Mark thanks for blogging about our new church in Castle Rock. We had an awesome weekend. The Picture was actually of our float in the parade. Then on Sunday we parked it in front of the theater where we meet. It was very effective. We handed out 1000’s of water bottles, frisbees and a bunch of candy. We also had a booth at the Douglas County Fair where we handed out Plum Creek materials. We had 298 at our first service. Even had an NCCer, thanks for coming Nina, it was good to see you. Thanks to NCC and Pastor Mark for your prayers and support. Doug

Mark,

We found a place that will put your logo on microwave popcorn.

http://www.snappypopcorn.com/private.html

We handed out a bunch of microwave popcorn and will use the leftovers for our visitor packs.

Just a thought.

So pass the popcorn and let it have a cool logo on it!!

Doug
