Lasterday
Josiah is following in my footsteps.
I love making up words. But I think my son is outdoing me. Over the years we've accumulated lots of Josiahisms. One of my favorites is packpack for backpack. He says, "Isn't that so happy?" It makes you happy just hearing it.
But here is one of my recent favorites. I want to start an official campaign to change "yesterday" to "lasterday." It just sounds right doesn't it? It was the "last" day.
Here's to lasterday!

Im going to go ahead and claim the "packpack" thing ... my bro was calling it that years ago, so much that we now just call it a "packpack" all the time.
Oh, and I love how my 5-year-old sister calls the zoo the "zoom." Haha. "Hey ames, can we go to the zoom?" ha.
Deja vu.
It's as if you have been baby-sitting my kids. Packpack and lasterday are 2 classics in our house. I thought that lasterday might have been unique. I guess not.
Mark,
That's so funny. My five year old nephew has gotten to the stage where he can now get whole phrases mixed up.
He likes to challenge me by saying, "You want a piece of meat?!" His family is vegetarian, so I guess that's more intimidating than "You want a piece of me."
Reminds me of our lead pastor's kids. Last year my wife and I took them to the beach, and the 3-yr-old was proudly showing off her new "baby suit."
Years ago, I did children's ministry... I told the kids a story about God's goodness, and he said, "That's amazeable!" Stuck with me ever since.
My assistant's little girl the other day wanted to know when we were going to do another "bathtism" service since she likes seeing people get wet. Classic!
