Kem Meyer from Granger Community Church said something in her session at Ministrycom that was so good. I'm really wrestling right now with what opportunities to say "yes" to and what opportunities to say "no" to. I don't want to do ten things half way. I'd rather do five things all out.

Kem said, "The less you say yes to the better you're going to be at those things!"

Or as Andy Stanley says: "Saying yes to one thing is saying no to something else."

Timely admonition.

In business classes they teach it as Opportunity Cost. Engaging in one opportunity may negate a different opportunity. I think we parents some times get caught up in trying to violate the rule with our kids. We like to let them try to do everything!
