Honorbound Conference

Just wanted to give a shout out to the guys from the Honorbound Conference. That was one of the most enjoyable speaking experiences I've ever had. A ton of adrenaline and testosterone when you get 1500 guys together! Plus I got to wear a football jersey while I spoke.

I'm really new at this book thing so I brought several cases of books hoping we'd sell a few copies, but we sold out awfully quick. O ye of little faith :) Should have brought more books. The good news is that you can get a copy of In a Pit with a Lion on a Snowy Day on amazon.com.

I'll blog some notes on my session this week.

By the way, if you'd like to use In a Pit with a Lion on a Snowy Day as a resource for your men's ministry shoot me an email at mark@theaterchurch.com.

Be happy to hook you up with a bulk discount.

Wow, was that an awesome conference. I was radically moved by what you said. I am so excited by what God is doing in the world today. I can't wait to visit the coffeeshop.

Thanks Mark for honoring the move of God in your life. It's great to see someone get out of the church box and meet the people where they are. I have been for a short while and am again with renewed passion encouraging my church to change the method not the message. It helps that my Pastor and his wife heard you a week ago (in OC?) so here we go ...

God bless you brother.

PS - You've inspired me to start a blog of my own so we'll see how that goes.

Mark,
Your message rekindled the fire in my belly to get my business off the ground. It's a big lion to chase ($5 million minimum needed to start the first location). Hearing how that coffee house is reaching people where they're at stirred me, as my business model is to reach the youth and college students where they are at, and to create a crossroads where the church and the community meet. I have had this dream for 8 years now, so obviously it is not letting go! I think God has something huge in mind, as my brother has also opened a coffee house business to reach the people where they are at (in Nashville, called Livewire Coffee and Music). Thank you for the encouragement and the fresh perspective. Lions come, but they are definately opportunities to do the work of God, not just a reason to run away. I look forward to my lion chasing experiences, and expect victory.

Thank you for doing what you do so we can do what we do.
