Minister's Retreat

Bookmark and Share

I'm headed to Ocean City, MD to speak at a retreat for about 450 pastors. I'm talking about two of my passions: identity and creativity. I think pastors struggle with identity issues as much as any other occupation. I'm no exception :) And the future belongs to right-brain leaders so I'm hoping to push the creative envelope.

I'm tag-teaming with Lee McFarland, pastor of Radiant Church in Surprise, AZ. Radiant is one of the fastest-growing churches in America. Lee and I have done a few events together the last couple of years. Love his story! In fact, I tell his story in In a Pit with a Lion on a Snowy Day. Lee is a lion chaser!

What retreat is this? I'm surprised I hadn't heard of it. I'm at a church just outside Ocean City. Seems we almost never have anything of that size around here. Hmm...weird...

Kind of ironic, because we're headed down to Atlanta for Catalyst, partly because we don't have that kind of stuff in this area.

Anyway, have fun! Hope it goes great!

I really enjoyed your message tonight. The biggest take away for me was: "The greatest freedom is having nothing to prove."

Thanks for sharing your story.

The retreat is for ministers in the Potomac District Council of the Assemblies of God.

We're hanging at the Carousel.

I was at the "Next Step" clinic you and Lee did for the Rocky Mountain District of the A/G a few years ago. That was a great time!
