Pentecostal Handshake
I'm not sure if it is a pentecostal thing or not, but there is something called a pentecostal handshake. Have you heard of this?
Someone shakes your hand and they have some dollar bills conscipcuosly hidden in the palm of their hand. When they shake your hand there is a transfer of funds.
The highlight of my day was walking out of church and one of our little NCCers had a birthday so I decided to give him his first pentecostal handshake! The funny thing is that he looked very confused. Evidently, taking money from pastors is very similar to taking candy from strangers :) It took a little effort to get him to close his hand and accept the gift!

That's funny.
Being "Pentecostal" or something like that myself, I've given and recieved those unique handshakes. :) Tonight my church honored all of the Pastoral Staff and we all recieved that "special" handshake! The food was awesome too :) Pentecostals like to eat!
I've always heard it called a "Holy Ghost Handshake."
I've always felt weird about this when I speak at another church; that is paying me a unrequired Honorarium for speaking. I've started telling the leaders at the church I'm at about my HolyGhost Handshake offerings, so they can take it into consideration when they write me a check. Most places, tell me to just enjoy it.
the best one are the handshakes not with bills, but with checks. :-)
i had one of those about a week ago that truly was a God thing. it was a huge blessing.
