Live Nativity
Fired up about our 3rd Annual Live Nativity on Capitol Hill.
Props to Joel Schmidgall, our pastor of outreach, and the entire outreach team. Every outreach is a huge undertaking. We have choirs of angels, hot chocolate people, a set up team, and of course the animals. My personal favorite are the llamas. We're not sure llamas were native to Bethlehem 2000 years ago, but we really like llamas!
By the way, Parker's teacher (who isn't an NCCer) announced the Live Nativity in his class yesterday and said, "Parker, doesn't your church do the nativity." His teacher said he goes every year and then one by one most of the kids in his class said they go. I think it was a cool moment for Parker!
As the name suggests, outreaches are ways of reaching out. And I really feel like the Live Nativity is a simple way of reminding people of the reason for the season.
