First Starbucks

Bookmark and Share

One of those days I'd describe as exhausting and energizing!

Really enjoyed the classes I taught today! Did a couple classes on preaching and a couple classes on leadership. Love interacting with students--lots of passion and potential.

Got to go downtown Seattle today and got a latte at the original Starbucks. Pretty cool to see where it all began! Then I crossed the street and saw Pike's Place. They weren't throwing fish today, but pretty cool to seeing the inspiration behind one of my favorite books--Fish.

Connor,

Not sure who the author is :) But it's a great little book. Worth the read. I'm sure an amazon.com search will pull it up!

That is a great place! I stood there for over an hour and watched them through the fish, scare customers, and make a mess. It was awesome.

Hi Mark,
I really enjoy your blog. It's great to hear that you enjoyed Seattle and Pike's Place Market. Like Kyle, I can stand and watch the fish throwing for a long time. As for the first Starbucks, isn't it amazing to realize that it is the place where this empire started?

Hey, thanks for coming to Northwest and speaking to us, but I've just got one little tip so you don't sound like a tourist- it's Pike Place, not Pike's Place... just one of those little things that us locals can't stand when you get it wrong.
