Holy Lion--Half a Ton of Books

Just got word today that FedEx is delivering 1,014 pounds of In a Pit with a Lion on a Snowy Day tomorrow! That's half a ton of books. Holy lion!

I've been a little frustrated that we ran out of stock, but the good news is that amazon.com should be shipping within the week. That's the best bet for individual copies.

If you want 9.7 pounds of In a Pit shoot me an email at mark@theaterchurch.com. Happy to hook you up with books for small groups or a sermon series.

FYI--9.7 lbs equals one case of books (20 copies)

With you gaining so much weight so fast (half ton)... it might be time to come out with the "In a Pit with a Lion" weight loss challenge. I can see it now... "Help Mark Batterson Loose Weight! Every book purchased helps Mark loose .485 pounds!"

Okay... maybe not.

mark - i have really enjoyed seeing how you are using the blogosphere to help get the buzz started about your new book. I have a new kids book, "Our Big Big God," published by Simon & Schuster, that released a couple of weeks ago. Any pitfalls or advice for promotion using bloggers? Many thanks.

Jeff,

The thing I like about blogging is that it is so organic. I am trying to share "my journey" as much as I am tryin to share "my book."

I think the key is motivation--it's the key to everything. I want people to read the book because I believe it will bless them and challenge them.

I think there have been times, like right when the book came out, that my blog revolved the book. And I suppose that is fine for a little bit. But you want to be careful to keep your blog balanced.

Congrats on the book!

Feel free to share an amazon link so we can check it out...

My two cents,

Mark

Mark - really appreciate your thoughts. The concept for this book came out of discussions with one of my daiughters about how "big" God is...so the organic is very important.

Here is the link for the book
