We drove through a blizzard to get to the retreat I'm speaking at. Pretty crazy considering it was in the 70's in DC this week! Had a good opening session--especially since it was the end of a work week and a pretty stressful drive for most of the guys.
Talked about playing offense with our lives. I think it is so easy to shift into defensive mode relationally and spiritually. We become passive. We think running away from what's wrong is enough and it's not. God wants us to play offense with our lives!
So great having Parker with me! Helps me understand why Jesus sent his disciples out in twos. Wonder twin powers activate. Had a great talk by the fire in the lodge last night. He even set some life goals. Very cool to dream with my son. That is the most important vision casting I can do! Parker is definitely an adventurer. I want to feed that spirit of adventure.

I am reading In A Pit With a Lion on a Snowy Day and am absolutely loving it. God is using you to speak to me in several areas of my life. Thank you for being faithful to the call.
