Spring Forward
I hate spring forward. Alright, hate is a strong word :) But are any other pastors with me? Every year we have a few folks who make it to church just in time for the benediction. Not only do pastors lose an hour of sleep. Then pastors have to preach to people who lost an hour of sleep :) Why did they have to do daylight savings on Sundays?
Anywho. If you forget to change your clock, our first @ Union Station this week is 8 AM.

Isn't it odd how everyone is late when we spring forward, yet no one shows up early when we fall back?
One thing my church does to make sure people have no excuse (as if we ever had any) for showing up late on Time-Change Sunday, we have a series of short videos in our video announcements on the 4 Sunday mornings leading up to Time-Change. There's always a theme for the video series. This year it's "musicals." We use a lot of our stafff in them and sing famous Broadway songs and change up the words to encourage people to not be late for Time-Change Sunday. Everyone gets a kick out of it because it's always WAY over the top. Plus, who doesn't like seeing their pastors singing "The Hills are Alive" in Von Trapp outfits?
Just an idea maybe others can play off of.
Pastor in Reno - I also hate the Spring Forward - on this weekend only I wish I lived in AZ... where they stay on standard time all year.
Hate is the right word my brother...
chill
I hate spring forward too, but it has more to do with the pastor getting up an hour earlier, than people not showing up on time.
