Weekend Reflections

We survived Daylight Savings! Gotta admit--I was pretty tired today! Definitely felt the sleep loss effect in attendance and energy level. But it was a good day. Actually, a beautiful day in the nation's capitol. Spring is flirting with us!

The highlight of the day for me was dedicating David Clark II--Our media pastor's son. I love baby dedications. And that kid is awfully cute.

I also enjoyed connecting with some pastors who were visiting NCC. Just about every weekend someone from somewhere is doing recon @ NCC. Spent a little time with Rick Olson and some young pastors/leaders who are trying to do something creative and innovative in rural Wisconsin. Also met pastors from Ohio and Iowa. We certainly don't have this church thing figured out, but it's a joy sharing what we're learning.

Hey Mark,

I'm one of the guys from Wisconsin that was visiting NCC this weekend and just want to say thanks to you and all your staff for letting us hang with ya a bit and check out everything you got going.

It was the perfect jump start for us and we are excited to see God move up here in Northern Wisconsin like He is in DC.

The Q&A time we had was definately a highlight of the weekend for me. God bless you and yours and we'll keep ya'll updated.

Thanks again,
Derek
