The Painful Decision You Refuse to Make

Been dialoguing via email with Dave Anderson, the pastor of Crosspoint Community Church. He was telling me about the way God used something Craig Groeschel said at the C3 conference to really challenge him. Craig said, "The difference between where you are and where God wants you to be may be the painful decision you refuse to make."

That is so profound and so true! Can't stop thinking about it.

Very obvious connection but it comes right back to Chasing The Lion. Overcoming Our Fears & Embracing Risk.

I have been processing the book lately, one tough thing is that your eloquent writing makes it seem a whole lot easier to live than many people's lives allow.

Not an excuse, just a big reminder that it is all about our direction and taking the next step.

Awesome quote...so definitely true. Think I'll wrestle with that one for a while.

Chris,

Definitely easier said than done :)

One of the things I've discovered going on the road talking about "chasing lions" is that people wonder what lions to chase. How do you know if this is a God-ordained lion or not. Really tough to discern. And certainly the byproduct life experience and sensitivity to the Holy Spirit.

Anywho, it does boil down to that "tough decision" so many times!

Mark,

Both the quote from Craig Groeschel and chasing the lion are what I'm wrestling with now. They both go hand in hand.

I'm learning that the painful decision I'm refusing to make is tied to the fear of chasing the lion right in front of me.

Hhhmmmmm. . .
