Had a great day off.
Took a picnic to the National Arboretum. Had a little water balloon fight with the kids. And we had some gift certificates to Cheesecake Factory so we rode the metro across town. So funny, the commuters looked like they were bored to tears. It was like an amusement ride to our kids!
I just want to go on public record: I love Cheesecake Factory! If I was on a deserted island with only one restaurant, Cheesecake Factory would be one of my top picks! Love their Spicy Cashew Chicken!

Love reading your blogs! Thanks for sharing your life via blogging. The cafes here in western Canada are becoming multi-cultural as the population increases in our fair city. My mom makes this delicious manderine cheesecake from scratch using cottage cheese as the main ingredient.
Hey Mark,
I'm in Boston working on my D.Min. and our cohort went to Cheesecake Factory tonight, too. It's great. We'll go when you come to Des Moines this fall for the E2 Conference.

ha ha....That's my favorite dish!!!!!!
I can't believe it! After thousands of posts, Mark Batterson finally said something that I disagree with. I'm just not that into Cheesecake Factory. The problem must be me, though. I'm the only person I know who doesn't like that place.
Glenn,
As they say, great stomachs eat alike!
Praying for your conversion Mike :)

My first thought was Spicy Cashew Chicken Cheesecake? What's happening in our nation's capitol?
I've obviously never been to a Cheesecake Factory.
KeyLime Cheesecake @ The Factory = AMAZING!!! I'm glad we finally got one out here in Sterling.
Hi Mark - it's been a while since I've commented on your blog, but I enjoy reading your blog each day! I guess it takes talking about food for me to actually comment.
Anyways, although I love Cheesecake Factory, you MUST read this post about my last experience there: it will break your heart...

Enjoy and God Bless!
Would you believe I just had the Cashew Chicken last night?
Seriously-- after "doing time" in Springfield, you didn't have enough Cashew Chicken to last you a lifetime? Wow.
John,
I read your blog post. I just want you to know that I cried :)
Mark
I love the cheescake factory.... BTW we are having our missions students read "in a pit....". Great stuff. I had one student read the entire thing in less than 24 hours of getting it in his hands.... You have 50+ kids in Camp Hill, PA chasing lions....
This our last summer with them and we are bummed there is no cheesecake factory in Greece.
Becoming Greek
One of the things we miss the most about DC-aside from NCC and dirty chais at Ebz, of course-is the Cheesecake Factory. And it didn't help that we lived 5 minutes away from TWO of them!
