My Bookshelf
Just thought I'd share books I read last week. It was a good reading week. I read Holy Discontent by Bill Hybels at the pool one afternoon. Two thumbs up. It's a quick and easy read. I read Now What by Mark Estes while on Jury Duty. And I read the dip by Seth Godin. It's not my favorite Godin book. You've got to read Purple Cow first! But Godin is a master of metaphors.
A couple books on this week's reading docket include Peppermint-Filled Pinatas by Eric Byrant and Sex God by Rob Bell.

You are a reading machine. :) Eric's book is great. Good insights from his life and leadership at Mosaic.
My wife just finished reading SEX GOD and I'm picking it up next. Quite the interesting title. We were at the community pool over the weekend and an older lady sitting next to us glanced over, saw the title and about broke her neck doing a double take. We laughed and it gave us a great opportunity to engage her into conversation but I have to admit I felt a little awkward at first.
I just finished reading Blackaby's "The Man God Uses." Very good book too.
I've heard so much about Purple Cow by Seth Godin, gotta check 'er out.
@ daniel d - "...about broke her neck doing a double take" Hahahaha!
Sex God is Bell's best to date, and should be a must read for parents (to read w/ their kids!), for young adults, and for pre-marital classes. Good, good stuff!
Of course, that's my $0.02 - y'all might feel differently! :)
