The Curse Has Lifted
We finally got rid of our voice over internet phones (VOIP). It was my thorn in the flesh. For starters, I'm not a phone guy anyway. Why would you call me when you can email me? You know what I'm saying :) But the VOIP was terrible. I dropped calls all the time! Radio interviews would cut off. Conversations would end abruptly! And my podcast interview with Rick Warren was the straw that broke the camel's back! The line disconnected three times! Bascially, I hung up on Rick three times. Nice!
Just venting a little bit. Awfully glad to have a normal phone. I still don't want you to call me. Email me. Mark (at) theaterchurch.com. But at least I have that option! If you're going to have a phone, it might as well work!
Ah. I feel better now.

I heard that podcast and after the 2nd time you dropped off I began to hurt for you. Ouch! Glad those days are behind you now.
What service were you using? I have been with Vonage for two years and I am loving it!
"VoIP" Last time I checked, it actually stands for "Voice over Internet Protocol," but hey "phones" is close enough, right? =D
Which provider were you using?
Vonage :)
Just to help PM clarify
NCC is actually on a VOIP phone system now but this time we are on a truely stable system provided to us from our friends at Adtran.
For those who care its called the Netvanta 7100. Very cool stuff.
But PM is absolutely correct in the fact that the new system is %100 more reliable than our old vonage system. Sorry Vonage =) I just think we were trying to push that little consumer grade system too far with our setup.
Amen and amen! So excited to have better phones around me. Seems like it was always cutting me off when I was in the middle of praying for people. Awkward.
