Just thought I'd share a personal spiritual discipline.
One of my prayer routines is praying through the calendar. So instead of going into a meeting cold, I'll pray for the person. It helps put upcoming events on my prayer radar. And it just gives me a sense of destiny about the future.
One of the prayer challenges people face is not knowing what to pray for. All you need is your calendar. Your calendar is your life. It's a natural way to pray. It's a rhythmic way to pray! I just feel like I'm walking with the Spirit when I'm praying the calendar.

I leave today to head down to Charleston, SC from the Hampton Roads area to audition for American Idol. I woke up Monday morning with a terribly head cold and sore throat, which don't seem to be getting any better. But I have been praying this week for the people I will be in line with. That the hours and hours I spend in the sun will be a chance for me to witness to those around me. I guess they are what is on my calendar. Since God knows my steps, each person he has put in my life must be a person I am supposed to touch for him. I pray that I will take that responsibility and own it.

Hey that's awesome Mark thanks! I find myself needing ways to slow down my rhythm of of life so I don't miss God. We are in an exciting, expanding time right now - and my greatest struggle has been the discipline of sitting next to Him for the time needed to hear more of His story.
I try to pray through my day but I'm going to experiment with praying through each meeting and time slot asking God for the love and discipline I so desperately need. What a difference when we soak it ALL in the Holy Spirit.
