New York, New York

I love New York!

Summer and I had fun hanging out on Saturday. We hit the M & M store and Toys-R-Us; got some sandwiches at Subway, Summer's favorite place to eat, and ate them at Central Park; and we did a little strolling and shopping along Seventh Avenue which they had closed off for street vendors.

In the afternoon, I spoke to NYC church planters and prospective church planters. Very cool to hear a few of the church plant stories.

Back to DC.

Love coming to NCC when I have to work in DC! Thanks for being there and for working w/ the Father in building his kingdom in this critical location. You mentioned pastors who pastor you, give a quick look if you can to http://www.pursuitofgod.com/ and download Buddy Hoffman's latest ( pastor of a suburban church in Atlanta [http://www.Gracefellowshipchurch.com] -- conerned w/ doing something to take on the thriving sexploitation trade in downtown SW Atlanta). It's not about us, its about Him and his kingdom; we'd rather go where we're comfortable, but we are compelled by the grace He has shown us to go where He opens the doors and sends us. Throw in the towel!

Hilarious! Summer was telling me you got sub sandwiches at some place and I said, "Oooh, was it Carnegie Deli since your dad loves that place?" She said yeah, she thought so. I told her that we had wanted to go there but the line was down the street. She said, "Oh, we just went in and got a table right away." Haha! No wonder if it was Subway!
