John Maxwell just received the lifetime achievement award and they asked him to share one piece of advice with leaders. Here it is: intentionally add value to other people's lives everyday!
I've always believed that good organizations have good leaders who bring added value to the company but great organizations have great leaders who multiply value. The average organization has people who subtract value while the mediocre organization has people who divide value. Intentionally adding value to other people's lives everyday puts us in the best place to be able to multiply theirs and teh organization's value.

Anyone else find it interesting that Maxwell is getting a Lifetime Achievement award at his own event?
I do think that he deserves it though, he has made a huge impact on world of leadership. I just find it kind of amusing.
That is a great piece of advice. And in line w/ the eternal lifetime achiever, who said, "and yet how much more valuable are you than the birds?"
