Staff Openings at NCC
I'm a big believer in hiring internally because then you get people who get your culture! But I also think there is value in hiring externally. You get fresh blood and fresh perspective. All of that to say this: we're looking to hire a few positions in the next few months and I utilize my blog for everything else. Why not staff openings?
For starters, we're looking to hire an office manager position in the next two weeks. To apply, you can email Christina Borja at christina@theaterchurch.com.

I would love to help out at your church, but I live in NY...sorry. Anyway, I just wanted to tell you that I just finished reading your book "In a Pit with a Lion on a Snowy day" and it was AWESOME!!! I purchased it the weekend that you came to Northway Church to do a sermon and book signing. Your words have blessed my life with encouragement. I not only used a few lines to make a point in the testimony I just gave at Celebrate Recovery in my church, but also read a chapter to hurting friend who needed answers to the pain she was going through ("Unanswered Questions"). Thank you for using your gifts and putting them into words. Know that you have made a difference in many people's lives just by ONE person reading your book!!! God Bless!!
would you hire a person from another continent?
Ewald,
Yes. But not from another planet. We draw the line at the milky way galaxy :)
Mark
I'm curious about what other positions you will be needing filled as well.
??
I'm from this planet and your blog caught my attention.
I'm looking for a church to sponsor me in NASCAR. Do you already sponsor someone? Shake-n-bake!!!
Wow, as I read this post I actually considered applying...I mean, the commute I make from my home to the church I am on staff with takes over an hour! There are times I am certain that I could drive from Texas to Washington DC in less time! LOL
Praying for just the right person for that position. I know how crticial it can be when hiring your church staff!
Have a blessed day!
it's wonderful to be at a point to add staff! congrats. enjoy reading your blog and hearing the stories of God's blessings on you and your community. regards, john
Mark,
I echo Anna M's statement. I would love the opportunity to come work at NCC. Office Manager just isn't me, though. I'm very interested to know what else you have opening up.
Hey all,
Gotten lots of questions about future positions :) Not entirely sure yet. We come up with a staffing strategy every year in December that guides us into the next year. I know we'll look to bring on another church planter in residence. Beyond that I'm not sure enough to post anything. But I'll definitely post in early December after our planning retreat.
Thanks!
Mark
Very interested. I had actually done prayer walks in DC while there on business. I was there for a lot from 2002-2005 working with some gov agencies. I am from the midwest, but live in ATL now, but would consider the move.
looking forward to future discussion
