Christmas Program

Is there anything cuter than a school Christmas program? Had a blast watching our three kids sing last night. Notice that I didn't say "listening." Not that the kids sounded bad, but it definitely wasn't the Mormon Tabernacle Choir! Pretty funny listening to the 6-8th graders who are all going through puberty and experiencing voice changes! Lots of octave changes!

Good times.

Middle school performances are sometimes more hysterical as those preschool performances...don't you agree? Those kind of moments are one reason I love this time of year! Have a Merry Christmas!

My daughter attends a charter school so their K-5th did a pretty cool "Holiday Performance" that also included Hanukah and Kwanza. The 6th - 8th graders don't take music as an elective so they recited poetry. It was actually pretty cool. Some of them even wrote their own poetry.

To answer your question--no, there is nothing cuter!

We have a preschool at our church and they did their little Christmas deal yesterday. It's the highlight of my week so far!

A Christmas performance by a group of three- and four-year-olds is probably much more akin to the chaotic atmosphere of that actual first Christmas than any smoothly orchestrated adult rendition.

I'd bet that these kids' Christmas plays put a big smile on Jesus' face!

Sitting through middle school concerts (especially singing) is something a parent does that will never be appreciated until our kids have middle school kids of their own!! Oh, the things we do for love... ;)
