Rush of Memories

It's been three years since I've been in Addis, but the sights and sounds and smells triggered a rush of memories. The highlight of the day was going back to the mud house we built for an elderly grandmother. It was one of the hardest days of my life--we mixed the mud, carried it, and used it to build the house. Absolutely exhausted at the end of the day, but I think it's about as close as I've ever come to loving God with all of my strength.

It was so cool to reconnect with Lulit, the precious grandmother who lives there. Amazing how grateful she still is for such a humble house. Our tin roof has made it through two rainy seasons. Hope it makes it through many more!
