I just spent part of my morning hanging out with Michael Lukaszewski from Oak Leaf Church in Cartersville, Georgia. They are doing a cool series called Summer Reading. They are talking about four books over four weeks and one of them is In a Pit with a Lion on a Snowy Day. So we sat down and had a thirty-minute conversation about the book.
I love this series idea! In fact, I think we're probably going to rip it off with Michael's permission. We already do a series on movies and a series on music. Why not a series on books. Here is their series graphic.

Mark,
Can you share the other 3 books that they are tackling in their series. Sounds like a great idea. David

I have started a mens mentoring group by conference call with about 5 to 6 men and the first book that we are all reading and discussing one chaptor each week is In a pit with lion on a snowy day, the idea is each week we will set a time call into the conference number and discuss pray and pour into each others lives, just thought I would share...great book by the way!!! Todd
We are going with a similar idea for the summer except we are doing 1 book for the entire summer. We make up a schedule of book chapters and weekends so everyone can follow along even while they are away. The book we are using this summer is Jack Frost's - From Spiritual Slavery to Spiritual Sonship.
