Here is the picture we're leaning toward for the back cover of Wild Goose Chase.
I'm not sure it's my favorite shot, but the cage metaphor plays off the book. I personally like the second picture. I'd make a better hand model than face model.

I see your point. I like the 2nd one for the cool cage look. But it's got some vines or something in it, so it looks dirtyish.
I like the first one b/c it goes through the fence! cool! But that face .... =D
Jesse,
Not much I can do about the face :) Stuck with it!

Hi Mark!
I like the mystery of the 2nd one. Its different than the author pics from every other book on the shelf.
I vote for #2 :o)
Both pictures are really interesting. I agree with Jesse about THROUGH the fence. We all appreciate you and can't wait for the book.
I vote for number 1. My reason is because of the determine look on your face. I think it shows passion and resolve. I am not sure what the book is about but I am sure that it will challenge and inspire. So that is why I vote number 1.
#2 has a creative element and i like that... it's also a reminder that the 'story' is the key - while you wrote the words, it's not about you... there's something deep to that. i'm gonna have to read this book too now. :)
Oh my gosh. We're identical hand twins.
these are awesome. it's like you could be a part of the "Jail Break" series.
I like the 2nd pic best : )

I like the 2nd pic SO MUCH more than the first. It's not even close!
your hand looks freakishly long in the first picture.
2nd pic - u get more of an "cage" idea
