I'm not gonna lie. I feel like I'm late to the facebook party! But better late than never.
I jumped on Twitter last week. Why not join Facebook this week.
I decided to jump in for a couple reasons. My primary reason is because of some advice I got from parents with older kids. They said I needed to be on facebook so I can connect with my kids when they get on facebook. And I know that'll happen sooner than later!
But I also feel like it's one more way I can stay accessible as NCC grows larger. I know I can't be all things to all people. But I already feel a unique connection to NCCers who have become friends on facebook. I also feel like it's another way to connect with pastors and readers.
My greatest hesitation, and the reason I held out for so long, was that I can barely keep up with my blog and twitter. But I think social networking is the future. Period. So ready or not, here I come.
By the way, wouldn't mind a few friends on facebook. Feels awfully lonely when you sign up!

Joined facebook 2 weeks ago. I love it. It has connected and reconnected me to so many people. Enjoy.
Don't slack on your blog though I enjoy your comments
Hey, Mark-read your blog, am reading Lion, I am a church planter in Southern California and I added you as friend on facebook. It does create social space, however, I like to use it as a "convenient" place to post articles/current event stuff to weave into small group discussions and as a "remember this" spot for books/ideas. Welcome!
Hey Mark, glad to see you on facebook. You are right in the fact that it is one more thing to keep track of. But as Pastors I have found that it allows people to feel just a bit more connected to you. My tech guy just created another social network (trekden.com). So I have one extra one to keep up with. But connection is always good.
Hey Pastor Mark, my name is andy and i had read your book this past winter. i Just wanted to let you know that it really blessed me and pretty much rocked my world. thanks for the encouragement.
Facebook is great for keeping up with people and sending messages. The biggest annoyance I find with Facebook is the applications. I'm not interested in being a Pirate or a Ninja, and I definitely don't want to be "owned".
I log on mainly to see how my friends are doing.
Cool stuff adding u now
I joined facebook for the very reason that your friend suggested. I will add you when I get off of work today. My company blocks social networking between the hours of 8 am and 4 pm.
Attended NCC at Ballston last Sunday and was surprised to hear Dino Rizzo. I attended HPC when I lived in Baton Rouge a few years ago.
