Just thought I'd share a personal observation I've made recently. On personality assessments I come out as an extrovert. But as a pastor I'm around people all the time so I honestly feel like I get my batteries charged by time alone. I love days like today--lots of interaction with lots of people. It's energizing. But it's also exhausting. So I've come to the conclusion that I'm an extrovert by personality and an introvert by necessity. If I didn't have an outlet to be with people I'm sure I'd go crazy. But because of the nature of what I do--pastoring a church, speaking at conferences, lots of meetings--I need some PT to stay fresh.
By the way, Jesus was an ENFP. That's for all of you Myers-Briggs fans out there!

YES! I'm a huge myers briggs guy, and so I'm glad you posted this. I think Jesus was an EINSTFJP.. as for me.. INTJ
I have heard people say that Jesus was an XXXX (or EINSTFJP).
ENTP here.
an ENFP here. you are right pastor, extrovert by personality and an introvert by necessity! hehe
I lean more toward being an introvert but I also tell people I'm a "professional extrovert." When I'm "on the clock" I'm totally relationally focused and happy to be with the people I love to serve. And then I need about 4 hours of solitude to do it all again. :)
I love that--EINSTFJP.

A psych prof once told me I was an ambivert - since I didn't measure strongly as an E nor I.
But since I lean I, my Myers-Briggs is INTJ.
haha love that "ambivert!"
i'm an EN F/T J.
I'm an extrovert in large groups 200+ but I'm very introverted in small group and 1-on-1 settings.
How funny you mentioned that - I just posed the question of Jesus' personality type this week! What an answer to prayer :) (just kidding!)
Love Meyers Briggs. I say that it justified what I was saying since I was a child. I was labeled “extroverted” growing up, but I am not. Really! INFP. I rock 9 out of 10 on the scale of introversion…
I am just an "extremely gregarious" introvert.
I'd much rather be on a desert island...
oh man...I was hoping to find another INTP on here...
Introvert by Nature
Extrovert by Prefession
Haha! Jesus is an ENFP? I'm a INFP ... but in a ambivert like Jonathan. Thanks for the new classification!
E when called on. I by design.
Jesus as an ENFP ... I love it!
We seem to have an accumulation of Ns on here, which is interesting, considering 70% of the population is S. Are blog readers more N? Probably depends on the blog. :-)
