Junk Pride
My friend Mike Foster was on the Dave Ramsey show talking about the Junky Car Club last week. I guess I made a "cameo" appearance with my 95 Ford Taurus, may she rest in peace! I now drive a 97 Honda Civic, but it has more miles--225,000 on the odometer.
I love one of the things Mike said. He talked about "junk pride." I think we live in a culture that takes pride in the biggest, the best, the most expensive. Love the way Mike and the Junky Car Club challenges the status quo. The premise is simple. Spend less money on your car and give away the difference to meaningful ministries.

Thanks Mark. I think my 1991 Honda Civic might qualify.
When we had to get another car for the family, we chose a 1998 Camry for just this reason. There's a picture of "periwinkle" on facebook in The Junky Car Club page!
