Still in Shock

It's going to take awhile. Brett Favre as a Jet? Not overly excited about the team he's going to! They were 4-12 last year. And I'm still upset at the Packers. But a friend who pastors a church in Wisconsin told me that Favre's replacement, Aaron Rodgers, is a Christian. At first I was upset because that means I can't cheer against him! And I wish I was joking. This whole thing has me tied up in emotional knots. But I'm so glad he told me that. I'm back to praying for Rodgers and the Packers.

You can pray for the Packers and Aaron Rodgers, and cheer against them too!

As a Red Sox fan and a child of God, I look forward to hanging out with Andy Pettitte & Mariano Rivera (and probably other Yankees too) when we all get called home. But I root against them while we are still here!

At least it's not the Vikings.

I'm no Jets fan either, but two years ago they went 10 and 6, plus Brett has two decent receivers in Laveraneus Coles and Marcus Henry.

They also released Chad Pennington, who has been as inconsistent a quarterback as any. This will be Mangini's year to prove what he can do with a legend at the helm.

Well, even though you feel like you can't cheer against Rodgers because he is a Christian, just remember that the ones who aren't Christians (yet) need our prayers maybe more than the ones who already professed to the faith (and seem to seem to be enjoying a pretty good life).
