Just found out Wild Goose Chase is going to a second printing. That'll make your day! Of course, it spent all of one week on one bestseller list (Washington Post). And that'll keep you humble!
Awfully encouraged by the early emails and letters. We prayed that God would get the book into the right hands at the right time. So I feel like every book printed is a prayer waiting to be answered.

Great to hear that the book is going into a second prining! It was an enjoyable read that encouraged me to look at some other job opportunities. Thanks!
I actually won your book from a blog: http://ohamanda.com/?p=846
I'm super excited to start reading it. I was in the book store a few weeks ago and was "flipping" through "In a Pit..." and I can't wait to read it. Just didn't have the money at the time to buy it. I've heard great things about your books and everything your doing at your church. I go to Church of the Highlands in Birmingham and I have heard Pastor Chris mention you several times. Thanks for all y'all are doing to change lives.
Congrats! Will be praying that it continues to reach every hand!
Mark - from a fellow TIU-er, greetings! I just read WGC while in Haiti this past week. Fantastic. 2 radically different questions:
(1) I'm looking at doing a sermon campaign in 2009 based upon the book. Any graphics and such already available? What about Small Group supplements?
(2) Have you had any discussion groups about the transferrability of WGC "cages" outside American contexts? I couldn't help but reflect upon each cage while looking at my surroundings in Haiti, wondering what each of those cages would look like there...or if some of the cages are uniquely American versus human?
Keep up the great work at NCC - and we'll see you at the Multi-Site Exposed Conference in SC next week.
Hey Mike,
Check out www.chasethegoose.com. Lots of resources and we'll get downloadable graphics, etc up there ASAP. Our series is ending this weekend.
I definitely write from the American context, but I do think there is a level of transferability on most if not all of the cages. It's the human condition :)
Thanks for touching base!
Mark
I just read the excerpt booklet(great for a mom of little ones) of the WGC. Talk about getting into the right hands at the right time - your prayer is definitely being answered. We are on quite a faith journey and this book was confirmation of several things God has been speaking to us and showing us in His Word. Thanks for being obedient to write what He has revealed to you. He is always faithful to do what He has promised!! Looking forward to reading more.
My husband has read the book and now I am in reading! It is an awesome book and I am soaking up every word and every scripture reference while going through it! Wow, it has come at a perfect time in our lives more than you will ever know. We went out and bought it as soon as it was put on the shelves. God's timing is always perfect! Thank you for following the Wild Goose in writing this God given book!
