Good Day

Bookmark and Share

My day started with my alarm going off at 5:18 AM. I always set it to an even time! Caught a 7 AM flight to Atlanta. For what it's worth, sat right in front of Dick Gephardt, former Majority leader and presidential candidate. Grabbed a bite at Chik-fil-A. Gotta eat at Chik-fil-A when you're in Atlanta!

Really enjoyed connecting with some pastor friends. Catalyst feels like a reunion. Fun to talk with people who have been influenced by In a Pit with a Lion on a Snowy Day or Wild Goose Chase. And I loved doing the lab.

Had dinner at the Leaping Leprechaun with some of the speaking team. Waiting for the rest of our team to arrive. They fly in tonight. Gonna be fun to hang out for 48 hours!

Mark:
I just finished* Wild Goose' and am extremely grateful to you for re-stimulating my Spirit-sense (I think Spiderman calls it his "Spidey-sense).

I have been in Church ministry for 30+ years and an now leading a ministry that equips national Christian leaders. I will be in Kenya in a few weeks. India again in January.

I will never teach leadership dynamics again without making reference to overcoming the barriers to listening to the Holy Spirit and taking the adventure He authors and finishes - by faith.

I didn't want another day to pass without letting you know I am grateful . . . and changed.

* finished in the sense that I read it through for the first time, but I am not admitting to grasping the leadership of the Goose in all situations contained herein.

Glad you enjoyed our community while attending Catalyst. Hint: we locals call it the Loafing Leprechaun (Leper) and avoid any green beer they may want to pour! Hope to catch you next year...had to be at the beach this time. Shucks!

hey man. I shook your hand after your pre-lab at Catalyst. Your book "in a pit" has had a real impact on me and my wife. I am leaving to plant in Boston in less than a year. God used your book to really confirm some stuff in me and my wife.

Funny story...my wife went to DC with 3 college friends. On their way back to the hotel 3 gay guys invited them to a gay bar. Initially they thought "No way" Then something came over my wife and said, "What if I don't chase the lion?" That night she and 3 of her girlfriends brought the Kingdom to a gaybar in your city.

I am leaving out a ton of details for the sake of the post however, I was proud of her.

You can check out my blog if you'd like.

"maybe God will move on our behalf"

Matt
