One of the reasons I blog is to capture moments. And every year I spend some time reviewing and reflecting via re-reading my blog. Here are some 2008 highlights. They definitely cross the spectrum: family highlights, travel highlights, pastor highlights, writing highlights, etc.

Eating Lou Malnati's pizza in a taxi during a layover at O'Hare airport

Filled with gratitude when I look back at 2008. This year has not been without its disappointments and failures. And I face some challenges going into 2009. But God is good. And I feel blessed.

WOW!! That's a dragon-chasing kinda year!! Way to go on all those accomplishments, Pastor! I'm so glad you keep striving to put a high priority on your family. Happy New Year! Karen Keyser :)
You have done some awesome things this year... Well done!
Mark, I love that A) you're audacious, and B) that you're a list-maker. You inspire me big-time.
I appreciate all the encouragement in 2008, Mark. Meeting you in Orlando back in April was a huge blessing.
Also, I just posted a list of my own. Thanks for the inspiration.
Pastor Mark, I did not know until tonight that U have a third book;
Id: The True You. Tonight I ordered two of these books and two more of the In a Pit w/a Lion on a Snowy Day. I love to give books I read that I think are great to pass around to others. Thanks again for your words of wisdom. Just to let U know, our local three ChristianBookstore (Kennesaw, Marietta, Woodstock, GA)
are all sold out of your books...please let U're publisher know...dcthorpe, Woodstock, GA
I got to go to Kopps myself this past year and it was wonderful!
I forgot that we both had that in common . . .
