I just robbed a Waffle House

Bookmark and Share

I just robbed a Waffle House. That is what it feels like every time I eat there. So much food for so little money. Feels wrong. But if that's wrong, I don't wanna be right.

Just a little food update. So far I've had Steak-n-Shake and cashew chicken. I just checked Waffle House off the list. All that's left is Mexican Villa and Andy's Custard.

I'm a man on a mission!

You're a man after my own heart. Whenever we visit a city the first thing I do is check out what restaurants I want to eat at. Wish they would get a Steak N Shake in the D.C./Baltimore area.

Mark,

I hope you're not eating at all those places in one day!
I must admit...you don't seem like a Waffle House kind of guy.

Mmmmm...Springfield's famous cashew chicken. Where did you eat it? I always love it at Silk Road. Is that place still open?

Of course, Mexican Villa is a winner.

What was the name of that BBQ place out near Battlefield Mall? Any plans to hit that up?

how about McSalty's Pizza. I graduated from BBC (please forgive me) and we would go there a lot.

check and see if Crosstown BBQ by division and national is still there. That hole in the wall was off the hook.

That is too funny. Every time my parents come to town we have to have the Villa. I live here now for grad school and never eat there unless they are here. Hope you have a great time down memory lane.

Also a BBC grad. Silk Road and Gee's are both closed, but Hong Kong Inn is still there on Glenstone and Commercial. Mexican Villa is definitely the place to Mexican.

Tim Chambers stole my thunder. I went to SMS (now Missouri State) and I agree: Crosstown BBQ on national and division is off the hook. I've told my children about it, it was so good.

We have a coffee shop chain in Canada that's more of an iconic psychological phenomenon, called Tim Horton's.

I've always maintained that this would be the ideal market for Waffle House since their style, menu and pricing totally matches our national psyche.

Our daughter is a student at Evangel and they all live for Andy's Custard! Great stuff. Our first love-in with Steak and Shake was in Springfield....ahhh the memories! Hope you wore your stretchy pants!
