I Love NCC

Bookmark and Share

I know a pastor ought to love the church he pastors. I also, from experience, that not every pastor does. So I'm grateful that I pastor a church I would actually attend. For the record, it wasn't always this way. Especially in the early days! But I love what National Community Church is becoming.

I can honestly say that I wouldn't want to be anyplace else, doing anything else, with anyone else! I love serving NCC. And Lord willing, I pray for the privilege of pastoring one church for life. Love to put forty or fifty years into it when everything is said and done!

Great services this weekend. Loved this expository series on Philippians titled Prison. Ended the series with a special offering for our Kingstowne launch. We launch new locations for about $100,000 which is pretty cost-effective. Praying for a miracle. If you missed the service, you can still be part of the miracle. You can give online.

That's awesome! I was curious how you itemize that $100,000.000 it would be really interesting to see how a pro uses the money effectively. Thanks again for your leadership!

Ditto! How do you use the hundred grand? Should write a manual for other churches!

Just so you know, after only four weeks at NCC, I love this church! It is really important to me that a church be warm and welcoming, as well as teach the word and have great worship. I have found all these things at NCC and am looking forward to becoming part of the church family! It was a huge blessing to find such a great church on the first try without weeks of "church shopping"! Thank you for your vision and leadership that is obviously why NCC flourishes and is the way it is!

Sung and Ryan,

Don't have a tight breakdown, but about half of it goes to equipment like sound, lights, projectors, etc. We try to make the theater as "plug-and-play" as possible. There are rental costs, of course. We try to budget about 15-20% for marketing, give or take. It's pretty bare bones. We couldn't definitely do it for $200,000 :) But we try to make it pretty cost-effective.

Hope that helps some.

Mark

Thanks Mark! I look forward to seeing how God will use me in this church body. It is such a relief to find a church that I love to wake up for on Sunday mornings (or if I want to sleep in, get ready for on Saturday nights). I was really dreading church hopping and am soo glad I don't have to do it! Can't wait for small groups!
